TV producer and host Dick Clark died of a “massive heart attack” after a medical procedure at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, his spokesman said.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement sources said there are no signs of anything unusual and that a death certificate is expected to be signed by a doctor at the hospital with no further investigation.<\/p>\n

Clark had a long career on both sides of the camera, hosting the New Year’s Eve special from Times Square in New York City as well as “American Bandstand,” “$25,000 Pyramid” and specials such as the Miss USA pageant. More from LATimes.Com<\/a><\/p>\n
