World Famous Randy’s Donuts to Roll into Las Vegas From L.A. Yes, a giant Randy’s Donuts sign is in the works
Two-and-half years since it first promised to expand to Las Vegas, an iconic star of film, television, and music videos is headed to the southwest, bringing a landmark symbol of Southern California street architecture and a 24-hour menu of classic glazed doughnuts.
Randy’s Donuts has filed paperwork to construct a 1,500-square-foot drive-thru doughnut shop at 4693 Blue Diamond Road, currently an empty plot of land. The angled roof concept will sit close to Cameron Street, a Dutch Bros Coffee outpost, and a mile from the Silverton Casino resort.
An Inglewood destination for almost 60 years, the Randy’s Donuts brand operates five California stores, but it is the original property not far from the Los Angeles International Airport that has transformed into a famed attraction for its 32-foot-tall doughnut sign mounted on the roof.
For Las Vegas, the fast-casual project is proposing its own illuminated, free-standing, ground level, 18-foot replica of the original sign, plus a 24/7, 200-square-foot indoor counter-service space designed for take-out orders.
In addition to its photogenic exterior, Randy’s remains one of the most popular doughnut shops in the greater Los Angles region, earning generations of fans for a long roster of cake and traditional donuts, plus “fancy” upgrades of long Johns, cinnamon rolls and bear claws, “deluxe” crullers and old fashioneds,[sic] and “premium” spins on raised Nutella, s’mores, and matcha tea varieties.
The original company statement back in 2018 revealed two Las Vegas doughnut shops were in the planning stage. An estimated opening date for the southwest expansion, or the possible site of the second location, have both yet to be officially announced.
